George A. Mossman former fire chief who died in office in
8/13/1928.
Mossman was injured fighting a fire when he fell from a roof which precipitated his death from the ruptured appendix and infection that set in.
The old American La France engine was just four years old when he died and
was used to carry his casket to Maple Hill cemetery. |
