RootsQuest Gibson County Cemeteries. This is a site developed by Ernie Lasley, Georgia McEllhiney and Chawn E. Caniff. It is an extensive listing of the approximately 205 cemeteries in Gibson County.
With complete burial listings for over half the cemeteries in the county now, all verified listings which
are in a searchable database. The site has a search engine, maps of cemetery locations, burial listings, and many photographs. They have been working on this project for several years, and are
always looking for volunteers to help out:

The Browning Genealogy Database is the lifetime work of Charles Browning, who compiled the obituary records of Vanderburgh County and surrounding southwestern Indiana from the Evansville newspapers: The Evansville Courier, The Evansville Press, and now The Evansville Courier and Press.
Information on each deceased person listed in the database includes fifteen categories, encompassing
age, date of death, survivors, funeral information,

cemetery, occupation, and activities. This attention to detail provides a vital community resource and source for genealogical research. Currently, the database is complete from the early 1900s to date.

INDIANA PIONEER CEMETERIES RESTORATION PROJECT
The state of Indiana is home to thousands of abandoned or neglected pioneer cemeteries, the oldest of which now approach 200 years. The goal of this project is to identify, protect, restore and preserve as many of these cemeteries as possible.
