Frank M. Dasch took office in January 1976 to become
Princeton’s twenty-sixth Mayor.
Dasch graduated from Lockyear business college and was employed as
an auditor for Republic Aviation and Assistant Cost Accountant for
International Harvester in Evansville.
Dasch was later employed as a credit manager for Potter and
Brumfield until 1975 when he retired.
Dasch was politically active as a Democrat and upon his retirement
from Potter and Brumfield made a successful bid for the office of Mayor of
the City of Princeton. Besides politics, Dasch was active in the community, serving
as Executive Director of the Gibson General Health Foundation for several
years. He was instrumental in the fundraising and expansion of the
hospital emergency room, intensive care unit and the development of a
cardiac care unit.
Dasch was also active as a boy scout leader, a member of the
Princeton Ambassadors and a member of the Kiwanis Club for 26 years and an
elder at the Broadway Christian Church.
Dasch was defeated
in his bid for a second term by Republican Jack Nixon, who was a member of
the Princeton City Council during Dasch's term in office.
