Of the 120 years Princeton has been a city, we have elected 29 different Mayors,  17 Republicans and 12 Democrats. The Republicans have controlled the reins of the city for 66 years and the Democrats for 54 years. From 1884 to 1906 the Mayors of Princeton were elected for two year terms, from 1906 to 2004  terms were for four years.
