Victim Assistance Services

Who we are ...

We are a social service agency, funded by Department of Justice-Office of Victims of Crime through the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) as a division of the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office. We are here to assist crime victims through the legal process by:

Keeping them informed of the progress of their case
Advising the Prosecutor of the victim’s feelings and concerns regarding the criminal case
Advocate for victims and their families by connecting them with local resources that will aid them in their recovery process
Aid in the process of collecting restitution for the victims

We can also…

Assist you in filing a Protective Order
Help you apply for the Violent Crime Compensation Fund
   Accompany the victim to court

If you have been the victim of a crime or need assistance, please contact:

Laura Goedde, Victim Advocate at: (812) 385-5270
