Kruger Oxidation Ditch Submersible Mixers

The Kruger Oxidation Ditches contain 7 Submersible Mixers. Three are located in the inlet tanks at the head of the ditches and there are two each in each of the 2 ditches.

The Landia Type POP-I Low-Speed Submersible Mixers impart velocity to the wastewater (activated sludge) to maintain the biosolids in suspension during the anoxic phases of the treatment process. The submersible mixers also supplement the aeration rotors also installed in the Kruger Ditches as needed in response to automatic DO control during the oxic phases of the treatment process.

The Landia Mixer is planetary gear driven and is available with motor  sizes. The Landia Mixer is designed for hard working conditions, and it effectively agitates, homogenizes and keeps solids in suspension in the wastewater sludge.

The Landia Mixer Propeller is designed for optimum flow creation and homogenisation.

The triple shaft sealing system is constructed of optional materials and the sturdy planetary gear system gives the propeller ideal speed and efficiency.

The mixer motor casing is waterproof and pressure tested and is IP 68 rated.

The motor stator insulation is class F and thermal sensors are embedded in the windings.

The Landia Mixer mast systems are available with multiple mounting and adjustment configurations, and are customisable.
